Lisa has enjoyed many adventures over the years, including being an elementary and Spanish teacher, homeschooling mom, marathoner, Ironman competitor, and world traveler. Her monthly column appeared in the Ahwatukee Foothills newspaper for 14 years (a suburb of Phoenix).

Journaling is a big part of Lisa’s life, and many of her observations and experiences from four trips to Africa found their way into her first novel, Pearls of Winter.

Since becoming an empty nester in 2021, Lisa moved from Wisconsin to Colorado with her toy/mini poodle, Gemma. She tries to keep up with her blog at www.lisajisa.com , although the puppy has a way of distracting her from the best of intentions! Besides playing with Gemma and making progress on new writing projects, Lisa can be found working as a licensed massage therapist and working on her certification as a flower essence practitioner.
