Join us for a special Saturday morning storytime featuring two talented author/illustrators with their latest books for kids!
Jean Ekman Adams' When Dogs Dream introduces young readers to Shorty, Darryl, and Shine, four lovable dogs with fantastic imaginations. When they dream, they dream big. These creative canines imagine what it would be like to drive the car instead of simply chase it. They dream of riding in the nice part of the plane, throwing little parties, and having the perfect home! Each with a personality distinctly their own, these lovable dogs may not have much, but they have each other and their dreams!
In Guy Porfirio's Jump! we meet Barb, a clever cactus with a sense of adventure, who thinks that nothing ever changes in the desert, until she takes a leap of a lifetime. Join the most exciting jumping cholla you'll ever meet as she jumps from her home cactus onto an unsuspecting coyote, and from there ends up hitching rides all across the country. Guy Porfirio's hilarious illustrations will make readers giggle as they watch the dismay and confusion on the faces of the folks that Barb encounters as she deflates rafts and pops balloons in her merry wake.
