Lullabies for Happiness: A Manual for Love and Peace (Paperback)
Lullabies for Happiness, A Manual for Love and Peace is a collection of poems and artwork by Hmong American poet and multidisciplinary artist, Fres Thao. Inspired by his first year of parenthood and based on his guiding principles and morals, Fres crafts perplexing and silly lullabies and visuals to tickle the minds of the youngest to the wisest of children. Touching on themes of self empowerment and being true to oneself, Lullabies for Happiness is a bit Hip Hop, a bit spoken word, a whole lot of poetry but most importantly a simple yet complex riddling manual for love and peace. Fres Thao is a Hmong American poet, multidisciplinary artist, and educator. His life long love of poetry, Hip Hop and storytelling has spawned eight albums, including Illegoalien's 'Blank Canvas' and a vinyl release of 'Mind Full Of.' In addition to his contributions to numerous music, multimedia and performance projects, he has performed and spoken nationally and internationally. Lullabies for Happiness is his first foray into print literature.
