Local literary artists including Cindy Coleman, David Feela, Katherine Leiner and Kate Niles will offer 45-minute workshops, free to the public, as part of the Inaugural Durango Public Library Literary Festival, which coincides with the Durango Showcase of the Arts.

Returning from some of the most extreme places on the planet, acclaimed author and story-teller Craig Childs brings an explosive multimedia presentation to the Festival, taking you literally to the ends of the earth.  From the Bering Strait to the Atacama Desert, flowing lava to melting glaciers, Childs offers a fresh perspective on writing, adventure, and the state of the world.Maria's Bookshop will provide books for sale at this event, which takes place at the Durango Public Library.For a full schedule of the Durango Public Library Literary Festival, see the Literary Festival Brochure.
