Free books! The only catch? You have to give them away.  Sign up to give away 20 copies of one of your favorite books on World Book Night, April 23rd.  Deadline to register is February 1st.  Register here by choosing which book from this amazing list of 30 titles you'd like to give away, and then sharing your idea for where you'll go and to whom you'll give the books. 

Maybe you'll hand out copies of The Hunger Games at your kid's school.  Or I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings on Main Avenue.  Or Friday Night Lights at the local senior center.  It's up to you, and it's all about individuals reaching out to individuals.  World Book Night is a nationwide, grassroots effort to get people (like you!) who love books putting books they love in the hands of those who might not otherwise have them.  And did we mention that the books are all free?  How cool is that.  

We'll throw a party at the shop for locals participating in World Book Night on April 16th, so they can pick up their free books and swap stories about where they plan to give them away.  Hope you'll join us for it.

We've had a lot of customers ask us this year how they can still support Maria's Bookshop if they want to read electronically, which we really appreciate!
